The Kaanch is an ethnic fusion clothing brand started by two millennials. As models, who we call style icons, we are showcasing inspiring and empowering women from different fields. A little about The Kaanch founders: Rafia:B.S. in Biomedical Engineering from SJSU and currently working as a Systems Engineer at a medical device company. The Kaanch is the first Indian American ethnic fusion clothing brand started by two millennials. We, at The Kaanch, are on a mission to design ethnic fusion clothing. At The Kaanch, we don’t refer to our models as “models” but as Style Icons and Rising Icons. Style Icons are powerful, intelligent, and fierce role models who make a positive influence in their prominent roles. Some of our past Style Icons include a Clinical Research Manager (PhD in Biomedicine & Postdoc in Mechanical/Biomedical Engineering) and a Robotics Engineer (Masters in Robotics). Rising Icons are ambitious, exuberant, and determined individuals who are developing through their personal and professional progressions. Style Icons exemplify the type of determined women needed to guide the next generation of female leaders - Rising Icons
