The residents of Sugar Land and South West Houston established Gurdwara Sahib of South West Houston (GSSWH) on April 23rd, 2006. The shabad kirtan dewan is held every SUNDAY (morning) and FRIDAY (evening). The proceedings begin with the Asa-di-Vaar at 8:00 AM in the morning followed by recitation of the Sukhmani Sahib at 10:00 AM. The main shabad kirtan dewan starts at 11:30 AM, and ends with Anand Sahib and ‘ardas’ at 12:45 PM. The 5-hour religious program ends with the ‘Guru ka langar’ hosted by one of the sangat members.
